Paris, the city of love and fun!

On our first year together we start traveling around Europe without knowing how far we’ll go… meaning both distance and relationship.

One of our first travels out of Italy and Spain was Paris. It was winter, so really really cold, and we were staying at a friend’s house in the isle of Sant Louis, behind Notre Dame.  I (Ana) have been in Paris a couple of times before, but for Fulvio it was the first time. I love first times! And I love to be with someone on his first time in a city because I feel that I’m discovering it again.

Today, we are remembering some of the best moments lived during this lovely (and freezing) days in Paris, sharing these photos with all of you.

The quality of the photos is not the best but you can get the idea of how much fun we had back there!

Cervaro, and the ‘deepest’ Italy

Cervaro is a little town in the Province of Frosinone in the Italian region Lazio. It is located in the Liri valley, about 130 kilometres (81 mi) southeast of Rome and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southeast of Frosinone.

But Cervaro is also Fulvio’s family home, in the middle of Italy, between Rome and Naples. And we love to come here when is possible to visit our Italian family and friends, eat a lot and so good and have a relaxing time surrounded by nature.

The last weekend we made a surprise visit to our Italian family at Cervaro, and it was as great as you can see on the following photos!

During our journey we made a little exploration trip around the “Ciocciaria” area, discovering beautifull places as the “Abbey of Casamari” or the fall in the center of “Isola del Liri”. We always say that “Ciocciaria” is a Tuscany without marketing, or a poorer Tuscany. As beautiful as Tuscany but cheapest and unknown.

Oviedo nights, Asturias

We always feel lucky of having friends around when we travel. This time, at Oviedo, we met our friend Alberto, who’d just moved to this marvelous city in Asturias. We spent one night there with him having a walk around the old city, drinking wine and eating tapas at the “ruta de los vinos” (wine’s route) and having so much fun remembering our time together living in Rome.

Thank you so much Alberto!!

The Sacred Monkey Forest, Bali

An afternoon at Ubud, Bali, can became as funny and salvage as this!

These are the photos of our experience with the little monkeys of The Sacred Monkey Forest. The place that inspired the house of “King Lui” in The Jungle Book, the Disney version.

Hostels we wanna try one day

Checking this article on  traveler.es  we’ve fallen in love with the most of this hostels around the World. And, as usually, we can stop dreaming with new travels to these places.

So we wanted to share this gallery with all of you, maybe it brings to you new travel ideas too.  Remember that they are hostels, so even if they seem really cool, they use to be cheap too!! Which is marvelous!

Tell us which is your favorite one and if you have been in any of them we would love to know about your personal experience there!

Agnkor Wat by bike

We stayed in Siem Reap for four days. It was the rainy season but we weren’t so unlike (we just have one fun anecdote about it that we’ll tell you on another post). So we could enjoy the place by walk, by yuk-tuk, and by bike!

The second day we visited Agnkor Wat temples (yeah, the ones with the big heads and the trees going into the stone that appear in Lara Croft film) we made it by bike. It was hot and we finished exhausted but experience was amazing and the photos as well.

If you don’t believe it, look for yourself!

Sevilla has an special color

“Sevilla tiene un color especial” says the song, and we can confirm it: Sevilla has an special color. Maybe because of her historical buildings, mixing  arabic and catholic heritages, or because of her streets full of people, maybe is the color of the big river, or the “Betis” street on the other side, in the “Triana” suburb. The color of all the tapas and wines, the colors of the maps in the “Plaza de España” and the carriages going around.

It is said that “la lluvia en Sevilla es una maravillas” which means that the rain in Sevilla is marvelous, and after our experience in the Andalusian city we know why; cause when it’s raining you just go from bar to bar eating and drinking amazing things, and meeting friendly people, so yes, it is marvelous!

Soon we’ll make a post giving you some tips and addresses to enjoy Sevilla in your next trips.

The Truffle party, Italy

Campoli Appennino is a little cozy town between the Italian region Lazio and Abruzzo. Driving around you can find this fairy tale place In the middle of the mountains. The day we went there it was the truffle party in town (sagra del tartufo) and that’s been so lucky!

The truffle is a treasure and taste it in so many ways and so cheap was wonderful. We had a walk around the rocky streets, visiting different houses which owners made us taste bread with truffle, pasta with truffle, white truffle.. and so on.

In the main square there was a kind of tent where home cooks were preparing more delicious meals. Heaven!

Take a look to the photos but only with a full belly!

Snowboarding in Abruzzo mountains, Italy

One of the things we love more about Fulvio’s home town in the centre of Italy is that you can be at the beach in less than an hour but also skiing in one hour and a half.

So during our Christmas travels we always spend a couple of days in Rocarasso, snowboarding and having a lot of fun!!

Which are your favourite ski/snowboard places around the World?
